Getting to Know Me Vlog: Q&A Part 2

Hello everyone! I finally finished editing and uploading the second and final part of my questions and answers video. If you missed the first one, you can watch it here. In this video, I finish up the personal questions and move on to questions about school, and finally, Doctor Who. Since I couldn't really think of anywhere else Doctor Who-related questions would fit, I decided it deserved its very own category in the video. I did start to sound a bit tired towards the end of this video--my voice was drying out from talking so long! Hopefully it's not too noticeable.

Anyway! Thank you all so much for watching, and for all of the wonderful questions you submitted! I hope you enjoyed the videos; I know I had a blast answering all your questions and learning to work with my camera's video setting a bit more. Be sure and let me know what you think--I love reading your comments! I'm hoping to film another video or two next week--I've got a few ideas already and I can't wait to try them out!

Have a lovely weekend!

  3. I love this series! Its been great to get to know you a little better through your videos Vicki. Thanks for being willing to share different aspects of your life with us. I agree that David Tennant is my favorite Doctor as well. Companion wise I really like Amy Pond. I love her personality. I am also doing college a little differently through the Music Development Program through the Royal Conservatory of Canada. I take my piano and vocal classes with my teachers locally and I have professors come from Canada to do the testing. So its pretty awesome. I love having schedule of my own and its been not too much of an adjustment from homeschool for me either because I had to learn self discipline when being homeschooled. Anyways, love your videos and I can't wait to see more!

    1. Thank you, Rebecca!(:
I really like Amy, too--she has a fun personality, and you can really see her mature throughout her time on the show.
Your college program sounds pretty cool! I love how college has become more adaptable to the students' own schedules and preferences, like in online classes and in the program that you're in.

  4. So much fun!!! I know exactly how you feel about the online classes....it is nice to be more flexible but I tend to procrastinate.....and do other things because there isn't that "push" from the teachers.

PS: What do you use to edit your videos?

    1. It is super easy for me to become lazy with my online classes...and I've found that I basically need to memorize the syllabus for every course so that I can get a calendar of reading and assignments figured out early on in the course, otherwise I'll likely fall behind in my work/forget about assignments. I also found that some classes are better to take on campus rather than off, and some teachers are much better at teaching in person than online. Some teachers are really good about inspiring students and getting them really interested in the work when they're teaching on-campus, but lack that kind of verve online. Still, I am glad that online classes have worked out so well for me (so far at least!) I hope that your online classes are going well for you too!

Oh, and I just use iMovie to edit my videos. I use the app on my iPad, which is basically a simplified version of the actual program for Macs. The actual program is very nice as well, I just tend to use my iPad more than my desktop computer.(:

    1. Thanks, Kate! I am planning a room tour one of these days, but I still have one wall in my room where I have to hang up posters and artwork. As soon as I get that done, then I'll film that video!(:

  6. Ooh. One question I forgot to ask for the videos, was your thoughts on social media?

    1. Hmm...social media, in my opinion is both a blessing and a curse. I think it's great because it allows people to connect in new ways, and they can keep in touch with people who live half-way across the country, or even in another country altogether. It's also nice for introverts like me to get themselves out there and maybe become more confident with their communication skills. But then again, social media opens a huge door for laziness--I've found that I get so much more done when I avoid my Facebook and Twitter feeds just for a day. I also think that it is definitely misused...you can find a lot of bragging, vanity, whining, and hate on social media. Soooo...yeah. I try not to use it too much, but I do think that there are definitely good aspects to it as well. What do you think?
